1942 Molot sniper

hard to say where you could find an original although there are most always repro ones on ebay, and sometimes originals or so they claim who knows for sure.Thats like the pu scope if its not dated there is a good chance it is post ww11 built. who knows for sure?

I got my cover 10 years ago when there were no original rifles around but lots of real accessories. Now, most you see for sale are fakes.

If you just want a representative cover, the fakes are pretty good.

FWIW, if someone were to browse a popular sight and search for number 251272802195, I believe it to be original - matches my real one pretty exactly. Price is very reasonable too.

If you look at 271192206412, 2 out of the 4 in their pic look fake to me, the other two are probably real. I would not buy without seeing pictures of the actual cover they are sending. Most originals did NOT have roller buckles. Most real ones had a cheap copper-plated steel buckle, similar to the copper washed ammo cases used in WW2.

There, that's my good deed for the day.
