Anything unique about late war Mosin Nagant 91/30's

I recently picked up a 1944 dated Izzy.

Are there any design changes from the early/prewar rounds receivers?

I used to have a 1942 Tula 91/30 that had very crude machining marks all over. This 1944 looks a bit nicer than I expected late war rifles to be. It not beautiful but it is nicer than I expected.

Anyone have experience or info on Late war Mosins?

Sounds like refurb. I had a 43 and it was crude as heck. I also had a 43, that was refurb in 59 that was smoother then a high end gun.

Your questions are too general. Yes there were changes, yes, there are unique and there are run-of-the-mill rifles. Nicer look could be attributed to many factors and 1944 actually seen quality increase for some firearms. Comprehensive info is in this book.

Late war mosin were produced in great numbers. Those were send to frontline. Many were put in storage and never used as war was almost over. We need to see pictures

PS Just heads up. Mosin are going up in price overseas so buy one now while you can. Prices will be the same or close to SVT 40 prices in about a year

Cheers
