Hi Folks,
I picked-up this rifle today at a good deal. I really love it but I need some more info. I believe that's is a 1945 RFI Rifle Factory Ishapore Enfield MkIII. The botl and the receiver match. the bolt I call a fat head because it's twice the size of my No.4.
It came with no mag, my No 4 MK1 mags don't work in it so I'll have to find a Mk III is this correct?
Can any one tell me what the markings mean.
I had this old bayonet on my wall that I bought at a antique store years ago and doesn't the darn thing fit. Would have been the proper one they used in 1945?
She'll need a good cleaning-up but I think I got a good find here.
Thanks for any and all info.
