1949 LongBranch No.4?

Unless, new research has surfaced that I am not aware of are not 1949 & 1950 is the last time complete rifles were produced. Anything dated after 1950 is a re-built (FTR) rifle that had a non-serviceable receiver replaced with a spare one and 1956 is the last time spare receivers were built.

Yes,All 55 and 56 dated receivers will have earlier serial #,s of the rifles they replaced, but they are still factory new rifles..My 55 has a 55 dated barrel and all other parts are new and all parts have same type of blueing.

Those dates are correct for no4 rifles. There were 1951 and 1953 dated receivers from LongBranch for the Cno7 rifles.

I also have 55 and 56 dated receivers on rifles. The 55 is a complete target rifle with one too many digits in the serial number. It was also made up as a no4mk1/3. Obviously assembled as a target rifle. The 46 has no serial number and was assembled as a test bed for a ballistics experiment.
