1949 Russian SKS

I "guess" you learned not to cry wolf, ha ha ha... How many pm's did curtton send you??? How many did Norseman send??? ha ha ha...

Cheers
Jay

i cant compete with Mr. Collector (norseman) ,:D therefore i sent no email .

besides i cant believe any of us would ever get one , let alone one guy getting two . thats like winning two different jackpot lotteries at the same time . :D

SKS collectors (like myself and Norseman) purchase and trade firearms more than just to hunt, plink, and target shoot. Like hockey card collectors, we "want them all."

I am actively looking for an Albanian SKS and a Paratrooper SKS. GFL on both for me, but I am still hoping.

You just know some guy is Bubbaing one right now in Canada. Maybe cutting off the Bayonet lug and drilling and tapping the receiver :(

How do you tell the date? On the CFC papers for mine, it lists it as SKS 1945.

SKS 45 is the model name. It was designed in 1945, just like all other Russian SKS's. The year is the specific year it was produced. If it is the same as Nagants, it should be on the reciever above the chamber.
