1949 SKS Rifles

I've been seeing some variations in the script on the Receiver Cover date stampings on 1949 SKS rifles.

Most seem to be the smaller cursive type stamping, but I've also seen a larger non cursive stamping.

The Tula factory star also seems larger too.

Anybody got an explanation for this?
