Seeing as The Kurgan just started the Non refurb thread, and with all the chatter lately on CGN and another US based forum. Let's see the 1949 pics. Similar rules.
2 pictures, showing off as much of the rifles special 49 features as possible
Little description of who,where, when.
Pinning method
*As 49's come with a spike bayo, it must have the Russian Cruciform Bayo

Mines from, Westrifle. Was my valentines day present to myself in 2013, mag pinned by welded rod to the the follower.

I brightened up the pics, to try to see the detail better.

Thank-you. Probably the closest I'll get. I've got 6 SKS's of differing pedigree, but I don't see too many non-refurbs left as of late. I admire the guns on these threads. Some of you owners have what are, IMHO, pieces of artwork. I've always had a soft spot for milsurps, and I've learned a great deal from the experts on this forum.

I don't want to sideline this thread, but does anyone have an early 1950 with the spike bayo? Or a 1948 stamped dust cover? Thankyou, nice SKS, I would show mine but it is heavy refurb with laminate stock. Cheers.

Just got this '49 SKS. All early features with slim stock, also bolt is in the white. Mag has butt ugly weld but Im thinking it maybe possibly non refurbed. Blueing shows a bit of usage wear and stock shows nice wear also. Also have a pristine older import one stashed away that is matching internally pinned.
