I got 4 pictures of his carbine. It is a early 50 with 90 degree gas port, engraved date, hand stamped tula star, eyelet latch pin and spike bayonet. The stock is for a blade bayonet(not tapered) and stock ferrule is also for a blade bayonet. On the stock ferrule for a spike the retaining pin is on the bottom and for a blade bayonet it is on the top. This would indicate that this carbine originally had a blade bayonet and was later replaced with a spike. Also it appears that with spike folded that it doesn't fit into stock, on the other picture it is braced so spike rests into stock. It is still a excellent example of a early 50. I was really hoping that this was the real deal.
