100% Matching numbers, All stamped, not eched. I would go as far as saying its unissued. Only downfall is it has one shellac wear because it was a display. For 199.00$ I don't mind at all either way.

It appears to be a mild refurb, due to the missing cartouches at the crossbolt and what appears to be re stamping of numbers on the stock. That said its a beauty and I would be proud to have it in my collection. If I had not sold all but my shooter and my 1949 :(

I still need a 1949, Hopefully a blued, all matching to fit it with all the rest. If the stock referbed I would have no problem giving it a coat of shellac to touch up. I always thought the marks around the crossbolt were to show it was in the arsnel for inspections. The numbers on the stock defenatly look very pronounced and the Arsnel logo and year are not there, the numbers are also higher up
 
49's with spike bayo's are like the great white buffalo now. Almost Non Existent, if you see one jump on it! Its the only thing that has kept me from selling it. Wiemajack has a 49 listed with a blade bayo and 45degree gas port. But its still a 49 :)
