All matching, no X's, I am guessing it is not a refurb but I am not sure.
Yes it's a refurb but from what I can tell it's only the stock . it's has a really nice blueing job . keep it . I'll bet it shoots like a dream . they only made Izzy sks rifles for 2 years 1953 and 1954. and as far as I know they came with hardwood stocks. nice find.
