1959 Browning Auto 5 Magnum with double recoil spring

Wow, that's a first for me.
Never seen this set up before.
Make sure the friction ring slots line up, not overlapping.
Meaning the inside and outside ring slots leave a gap.

Yes I ordered the bronze friction pieces, friction rings and the single spring today from Western Gun parts. they said they had limited stock.

Western Gun Parts is where I got parts for my 20 including new rings.
Del Selin may have some A-5 parts.

Thanks I will call them. I was using this as my duck gun until I took it apart to clean it one day. Then for some reason I looked up a diagram and found I was missing the friction rings and it can damage the receiver. I didn't use it this year and used my over under instead.

Not sure Im quite following you on the gaps?

I took mine out of the box and found the it doesn't use the stacked split rings.
Forgot about this.

It uses three steels and two brass rings and one recoil spring.
I took some photos and put my camera down.......fruck knows where now........ yikes.

Well its amazing what a little oil will do. Gave the magazine tube a very light oiling and it cycles fine. Put at least 100 shells through it without a hiccup.
