1964 and 1976 Browning A5 barrel interchangeable?

I have a 1964 Belgian made A5 light 12. Is the barrel on a 1977 Japanese made A5 light 12 interchangeable with it?

The 1964 would be a 2 3/4".
Not sure if the 1977 could be a 3" or not.
They at least need to be of the same length.

Hi, I have an A-5 3 inch Mag Belgium made dated 1964 and I also have a Japanese barrel for it that is opened up for steel shot. They are identical as far as i can tell. I am under the understanding that barrels are interchangeable.
