What would be a good price for a 43 yr old gun?
The gun is in used condition, shoots very good, the cartridge is a hand loaders dream. The 22/250 came out just after it an this one didn't go anywhere but it isn't far off ballistic why's.
I have lots of brass, dies and bullets.

I have one that shoots far better than I can!
having had it for two years now,and not shooting it much,my friend wanted to borrow it to play with.Him being a hand loader played with it for a while, and shot 5 round group @ 200yds under an inch with it.Pretty good for a rifle I payed $300 for with five boxes of factory ammo. Not sure what it is realy worth, but Im not planning to sell mine any time soon.

captonion

I know what you say, its a great cart. when a fox is hit it doesn't move or conflushion its dead.
At 75 I have to unload some of my 68 guns.

I too have had awesome accuracy from mine, which was also built in '65. I've found the heavier bullets shot the best for me. I bought mine about 4 years ago, scoped, with a few hundred rounds of ammo, brass, bulletd, and a couple sets of dies. If I remember correctly I paid $750 for it, but I thought it was worth more than that....it is in very good - excellent condition.

Very close to a 22-250 in performance......................also in utilitarian Savage 340 at one time........................Harold
