Got a question
I was looking at a 1966 model 100 308 that has very few rounds through it and as usual I goggled it to see what information I could find. This came up, evidently there was a recall on it.
"The recall was '90-'91. The firing pin tip could break and lodge in the hole, causing the next round to go off before the bolt was closed. I guess it blew up more than one gun with these "slam fires". My firing pin has been replaced."
Has anyone any information on this. It is enough to give me pause in any dealing on the rifle until my mind is settled. Really appreciate any replies.
thanks in advance
