I think all the 14 inch mossberg 590 barrels are heavy 590a1's.
I know that some of the older 20inch barrels were light or non A1 , but any 18.5 inch or 14 inch are all heavy walled .
The trigger housing , Idk .

The 590 Shockwave comes with a heavy barrel, matte-blued finish. Not sure about
the trigger group or the safety.
My 590 came with a standard barrel, plastic trigger group, and a plastic safety button.
AFAIK, only model 590A1 models came with heavy barrel, metal trigger group, and metal safety
as per USNavy specifications.
The Mossberg website only states a heavy barrel and color_no info on trigger group, and safety.

The trigger group is definitely plastic. It's pretty beefy though. The mossberg website says it is a Matt blued finish but I would say it is parkerized. I haven't seen the heavy walled barrel so I couldn't say for certain whether it is or not. It's a great gun and if you are on the fence about it I would say go for it.
