1975 KGR Dawson City Issue 30-30 Value.

Hi all, ive recently inherited a bnib 30 30 Presentation 1975 KGR Dawson City Issue 3030. It is 1 of 25, gold plated , etc.Its unfired.with some fancy ammo. Book value appears to be 8500 $ usd, is this too good to be true? thanx for any input.

Blue Book says there were only 25 of them made, and 100% condition is $8500. BUT - realistically I don't think you could ever hope to get anywhere near that much and that only a very serious collector of Winchester Commemoratives would be interested in it at all. You could likely do better to sell it in the US on a site like Gunbroker. Seems like there is not so much interest in collecting the commemoratives any more, especially in Canada.

I would be hesitant to value it that high. Winchester seemed to have made a number of similar 'Gold plated' rifles, but...no-one really wants them?
Just my opinion of course.
