1990's Remington 870 SPS value?

Hi all. I'm wondering what this gun might be worth? Purchased new in 1994 (by me) with less than a box put through it. 12 gauge with 26'' barrel and 3 chokes along with the original sling. It's moved with me multiple times over the years so there may be the odd tiny mark on it. No box but I do have the original owners manual. Although the receiver says Magnum, 3'' is the longest shell it'll chamber. (oops, just realized that anything more than 3'' is called super magnum)
This is not an Express. Thoughts on quality vs an Express or Wingmaster?

Hmmm, ok. I thought Express models were marked as such but I could certainly be wrong.
I'm hoping more of the 870 guys will chime in.
 
The special purpose was certainly above the level of fit and finish put into an Express. While they don't command the passion and high esteem of the Wingmaster, they are very close to being if not the equal in fit with a more utilitarian finish and stock. I myself much prefer the matte finished walnut version to the more common synthetic stocked. Price is the sticky point sometimes they sit on the EE for a very long time even priced barely more than an Express others go quickly a price a Wingmaster would command. I suspect it all depends on if an individual who knows what they want is looking for one at the time it is listed.
 
I still have the original receipt showing $299.95. I bought it in 1994.
I never planned to list it, but rather was curious as to it's current value.

It's really funny to see all the myths being repeated over and over again. It's an Express. Special purpose or not. Markings are purely marketing. Just like a legend about different production line for the Police model. Good news is that Express from the 90's was much better than the one made lately. Perfectly good 870. $400 is probably a top dollar. $350-375 sounds more realistic.
 
I'd agree with Nestor. I had an old early 90's 870 that simply said "Remington 870" on the receiver; took apart the wood buttstock and stamped inside was "Express". It's just a marketing thing although I agree the quality was better than current day 870 Express models
