Full newbie question,

I am stating to narrow down my selections for my first gun purchase.

They are the following in no particular order:

Mossberg Silver Reserve II
Stoeger Condor 12 Gauge
CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Canadian Edition
CZ Shadow 2
Colt Government 1911 Semi-Auto Pistol 5" Barrel

I would really appreciate any (maybe not ANY) advice the community could offer.

However, actually have to chose.
If I could have them all, I would probably chose something else.
 
hmmm, I've head similar sentiments from colleagues.
So the between the non-long guns SP01CE vs 02 - whats the differences?
 
I suggest narrowing down between pistol and shotgun based on when and where you’ll be able to use them. Some ranges have shotgun shooting only at limited times, some ranges it’s hard to get a handgun lane during evening/weekend hours and so on - the best toy to start with is the one you’re able to use.

I the dichotomy in my list stems from not knowing if I'm skeet or target shooting.
But I live in the west end of Ottawa and my colleges are generally from the east end.
Hence the conflict.
