Yes I am another one who bit at the M&P 15 Sport II deal. Now the decision for an optic. I have looked a bit and came across the Primary Arms 1-6X24mm SFP Riflescope with Patented ACSS Gen III. Lifetime warranty apparently and youboobers seem to like it with good value for dollar.

My old eyes would benefit from a scope better than a red dot me thinks. Any thoughts?

Or strike Eagle 2(1x8), Nikon Black force 1000 is awesome but the 4x is only zoomed in a bit more then normal vision.

Who sells the PA 1-6x24 in Canada?

PA Gen 3 1-6x scopes are lifetime warranty.

Sorry, I just followed the link to CTCs and it said 3 years. The 7.62x39 does say lifetime. And the 1-8x says lifetime too so I'm sure it's just a mistake but the reticle is really weird. And ranging is on a secondary reticle to the right? And is done with a 5'10" height? On the bdc of the vortex it's 18" width, much more useful for other things than human sized targets.

From what I have seen via youboobs the reticle to the right is to find the range based on the height of a 5'10" man who is not facing you, this was determined by US military studies. The centre reticle has the 18" shoulder width scaled on range, this measurement too was based on US military data.

Yeah the 18" is very usefull for things other than bipeds. The extra scale on the right will just make the FOV busier for no reason. To each their own I suppose.

Hey guys how is the glass on the viper series for vortex? Gen 2 viper is coming out with a 1-6. Might be an improvement from the strike eagle line.

My eyesight also causes problems. I wear glasses for distance, which brings the target into focus, however the gun sights will be out of focus. I recently purchased a red dot sight which has cured the problem. I can wear my glasses and both target and red dot remain in focus. I mounted mine on a Ruger SR22 and find it extremely accurate. Have also tried it on a Colt C8 which had a separate magnification unit fitted in front of red dot, which again was extremely accurate at distance. Would recommend trying out a red dot unit at local store.
