Locked down with a bad case of covid of course and watching baby shark with my 4 year old. My wife sees one walk right by stairs to the front deck and bbq. Run to the bedroom and grab the Lee Speed.

Out the back door quietly and she's sniffing around about 30 yards south of the house. Can see the back half from behind a poplar. First shot made er jump so I rack another from the 5 rounder and she starts to speed trot amd takes a right around another clump of trees and comes towards me at the corner of the house. Second shot hits and she zips west a bit to the shelter belt and lays down. Rack another and she tries to get up and 3rd was it.

The second shot wasn't even bad and its surprising how tough they are. Guts totally blown out from 150grn interlocks. Don't imagine there is much expansion on smaller game though. Luckily the breeze moving the grass masked the back door opening and me walking over to the corner.

Mangey...

Called a coyote a while back, one shot with 223 dropped it where it stood. 55 gr TNT Easy 70 yard shot

Yeah I usually use 6.5x55 with 100grn pills at 3000fps. They drop hard.

I keep the lee speed around for close entanglements, Can't beat iron sights for close. Especially on an enfield actioned sporter.

I actually did grab a husky in 8x57 I have with a 2.5x fixed power. But I forgot to put rounds back in mag before I put it away last time.
