1st coyote of the season

Had a slow start to the season for me. I have been out about half a dozen times with no shots taken but today it happened.
I got to the farm just after shooting light, placed my decoy about 40 yds out... Started off with some dying rabbit sounds, after about 5 minutes this coyote came charging in. I tried to stop her several times but ended up having to shoot her on the run. The shot was a bit far back but got it done on this moving coyote

Snagged another coyote today. Was walking my dog, noticed something moving in the distance. Walked back to the house grabbed my 243, ranged it and shot. 270 yards 80gr Federal.

Might have to go for another walk about to see what’s out there.

.223 savage axis, 3x9 Bushnell elite shooting a 55gr Hornady bullet

Good shooting. I've seen lots but only had my rifle with me for one so far this winter.
