1st Coyote of the year and a new Smack Shack!

Evening all,
I have had coyote hunting on the brain since deer season ended but the crop season was long this year and corn wasn't finished till end of December. Last week I was finally able to put my plan into action.
I lucked into a garbage can of meat scraps and started a bait pile last Saturday.
Last year I did the same thing in same place and shot a few, but
with the cold I would always wimp out and call it early. This year I wanted to be comfortable and take my dog.
So I baited last Saturday. Built my Smack Shack this week, put it out today at 3pm and shot my 1st Yote at 5:13pm tonight!
I love it when plans workout.



 
congrats on the coyote....a guy needs to make a coyote hunting shack like the one you have that could be pulled behind a quad or snowmobile. :)

To answer some questions.
6'x7' shack, 2x4 and plywood construction.
secure table to shoot off, 2 nice comfy chairs
Door in the back, shooting holes in front.
Paint. That's it

I was shooting my Remington 760 in 6.5x55 swede.
140 gr core locks from Remington left over from deer hunt.
left a golf ball size exit.

I just got all my reload supplies and am going to try 90 and 120 gr recipes.
