Hearty congratulations are well deserved to Chris for getting his first deer. I wish I could have been there to pat him on the back.
But don't kid yourselves, folks, into thinking of Chris as just "some kid". I've hunted with him before and I can tell you that he's got more intuition, good sense and experience in his head about hunting than most of the "experienced" hunters on CGN.
When I hunted with Bone-collector in '04, I made a point of giving Chris a scrapbook to keep all the details and photos of his hunts. I know I sent him a few photos from our moose adventure, and he already had a ton of photos that pre-dated my hunt. By now, I wouldn't be surprised if that book was full of stories and photos of hunting trips.
