1st impression of my Valtro PM5

As usual the Weasel finds the Butt. As witnessed by the guy with the dirty white socks. :)

I've been torn weather or not to get something like a mossberg or a remmy for my first shotty, or go all in and put the money towards the Valtro.
I do wish they had smaller mags for hunting.
But I've been curious. Do you think one of those ATI top folding stocks would fit it?

Because that would be pretty darn cool.

I don't think they come with the shell holders on the top. But like hotwheels81 was saying. If you quickly want to load something other than you've got in your mag, what better place to store it?
Those stocks fit most the Dominions, Remmys, Mossbergs and some Winchesters. I'm guessing there's some standard for the way stocks fit.
If that's the case with the Valtro, that is what I'm gonna do.
Gonna look like the lovechild of an AK and a SPAS12 when I'm done with it.

That's ridiculous! How the hell can a Double-Whopper with cheese walk out of the bushes. Hotwheels thinks we're all idiots, I think....

no whoppers in these bushes... but the odd KFC 3pc meal has been known to flush.

the remmy 870 stocks are the closest match for the valtro... require some custom fitting tho and watch the OAL of anything you put on or you could be in hot water.

just stick a pop rivet in the mag like most other mag's have... really not that hard to do and a very reversable mod :)

Thanks, Guys. All good to know.
I'm now pretty sure I'm going to get one of these when I'm ready.
That's really the main reason I joined the site, was to hear some thoughts on this particular shotgun.
I was concerned because I've seen used ones for sale around here a couple times.
Thought maybe the owners were displeased with them. But you'd have a hard time convincing me that the Italians are capable of puting out a bad product.
This whole thread has convinced me that it's performance is as good as it's looks.

Probably better try firing a shotgun first though. Want to make sure it's my thing. But I'll use someone else's rather than go half way with a cheapy.
