Hope someone can shine some light on my question: never "work" a match but what exactly is required from me and what do I need to bring with me beside myself and shooting equipment.

Details:

Sharon April 25, 2010
WORK - 10:45 R2
WORK - 12:45 R2
SHOOT - 13:00 R1 S11
WORK - 14:45 R1
WORK - 14:45 R2

Did I sign up my "work "correctly or will Sharon make the nesassary adjustment around my Shoot time?

Thanks for the help!

I am still figure it out :(

I think you can't work at 12:45 R2 since your shooting start at 13:00 R1....

And according to your schedule, you will be working like hell before you start shooting at 1pm. :D

9 hours of work in total, my friend :D

You won't be able to work at 12:45 if you are shooting at 1:00 and you are signed up to work on two ranges at 2:45.

If you are not an RO you will most likely be patching targets, so you won't need to bring anything in tools.

Hopefully more Ontario clubs will start to use the work option to give shooters who work the match priority when booking shooters.:dancingbanana:

The reason you ONLY have to pay $35 is because many people volunteer their free time to build, RO and teardown the match. That way you can concentrate on shooting.

For the most part, the people who volunteer many hours of their time to run matches in Ontario are under appreciated. I think our sport will be much better when more people like The Roc come out to help. Thanks Roc!

I tried to switch my work time and range but either way it will be conflicting.

I will assume that on the day of they will just tell us what range to work at.

Either way I'm game for working. I've in the past automatically grabbed patches and started patching when the scores have been counted or grabbed a broom and swept aside the brass at indoor matches.

Ignore all the work. Just sign up and mark off the work schedule, but you won't have to work. I talked to Dom and it's a glitch and should be fixed tonight. Repeat, you DO NOT have to work. Only the people who signed up prior to the match opening up on friday (RO's and match staff) are working. Everyone else is just shooting.

Guys we need to relax a bit.
I believe it is a glitch, and it happens from time to time.
Sharon always puts good matches, and we can expect that again.

Thanks

This is why we have to pay $35 for!!!! So we can concentrate on the shooting....Are you kidding me..

So how much do you charge for the matches that YOU organize?

Just curious.................... having worked 3 hours Thursday, 6 hours Friday settingup before shooting............

Today I am shooting after having worked 7 hours before starting shooting........but that does not include of course the 20 or so hours before the match building props and designing stages.

Lol...maybe if more people took turns setting up and running matches, there'd be a whole lot less complaining.....

Stop...take a deep breath...relax.

There's a new field in the match admin screen which I miss read and set to 4, which is also the ideal number of ROs required for the squad.

The field has been reset to 0, and the competitors have been removed from the work list.

And there it is in a "Nutshell".....Should we start a pool, to see who is the first one to organize another match? workers, RO's etc......

Same old same old I will imagine!
10% of the people do 90% of the work, while 90% of the people tell them they're doing it wrong.
