1st muzzleloader deer

Shot this meat mulie this AM at 50 yards with my .54 Renegade and homecast balls/100gr FFG.Recovered ball flat in off shoulder weighing 217gr as oposed to 230gr new.Deer made it 75 yards before piling up in the leaves..................Harold

I'm in Alberta.Had 8 mule does go by first and finally a little buck.My son was on the other side of the property and had two Mule doe tags!GRRRRRRRR! oh well he popped a WT button buck 5 min before I lit this one up so it all worked out anyhow!The wife has a cow moose tag but I'm reluctant to find one yet as the weather is too darned mild for hanging meat.Supposed to drop to zero tonight.I don't want more meat than I can cut up hanging just yet.Still 29 days left in the season! It's amazing the damage the ball did worse than the .270............Harold
