I finally was able to get some information on the older Remington pump firearms from a gentleman named Tom Hemphill who has sort of taken up on Remington research since the passing of Gene Myszkowski and Ken Blauch with previous data ending about 2006 with Blauch's book.
So on the DCP 14 1/2s, the earliest known numbers are now 16956,19417,19427,19434, 19790(mine), 19991 and beyond.
If anyone has a DCP to add just pm me with serial, type of butt plate (rubber/metal) and if tapped for tang sight.

First off let me preface by saying I shot my first Remington about 53 years ago (14/32rem) and that got me going down the rabbit hole. There isn't a whole lot written about Remington 14/141/760s other than by authors Ken Blauch and Eugene Myszkowski both who are deceased.

I've joined different forums hoping to gain some insight, rather than the "hope I'm in your will or will you adopt me?" responses. Remington USA wasn't very helpful other than the year made, which I already knew, and didn't know who to put me in touch with. So any info or a Remington contact email or heck even a wag estimate will be appreciated as at 66 I won't keep them forever! So 3 what I consider oddities over the next day or so starting with the oldest.

Gun #1) A Model 14 1/2 in 44-40 that was introduced in 1914 and according to serial # was made in 1913. It was also one of the 4000 DCP rifles for the UK shipment in 1915 of which few returned in this condition, but when I curiously checked it out I found that the cartridge lift rim guides wouldn't work with the ever so slight bevel on Rem or WCF cases. Single feed which probably wasn't a great option shooting out of a dirigible or Starline brass with flat rim works great, but that might have kept it racked- even if it made it to England.

DCP and what I take to be a rack #?
In Ken Blauch's book he estimates 7432 44-40s were made as records kept were minimal and 14/14 1/2 receivers were intermingled and not processed by serial# with only an estimated 9% of a lot being made 14 1/2s.

So what got me curious is his list of DCP known serial #s starts at 19434, 20111, 24249-etc. This firearm is serial# 19790 so is it that close to the front of production? That is what I'd like to find more on if any one has suggestions or knowledge.

Not much help here but made between 1912 and 1922. (likely you already knew that)
Shideler in the standard catalog of Remington Firearms estimates one in excellent condition at 1100.00 US dollars. VG at 750.00 US.
A carbine adds 10 percent to or those numbers ,however yours appears to be the rifle version.
Value is to a collector here in Canada and I'd estimate in the one thousand range Canadian dollars.
Someone will no doubt jump in and say less but were it mine based on your photo's , I'd sell for no less.
