i make my own 2.5" shells...using has-been AA hulls...used a block of local birch, a spade bit, inlet a hinge, and an exact-o blade
works like a gem
Now that's slick!
I use curved scissors but not nearly as fast or tidy so am liking the cut-off box idea. A lot more affordable than the ballistic products solution, too.
I make 1 ounce smokeless loads published at <7000 psi using single stage press to deprime, prime, throw powder and shot. Then top with an overshot card (punched cereal box) and roll-crimp with BP's drill attachment. A desktop drill press would do a better job than using my cordless I'm sure.
Cost per box of 25?
$5.70 with Sept. 2017 component prices. A year ago would have been $1.50 less but since then local lead shot prices doubled.
