I did put a new grip on but the screw is not the issue. it def not sticking out at all.

The guys at arms east are sending me a new trigger group so the problem should now be resolved

arms east are good guys, they made sure my buddy got some stuff he ordered before he deployed to afghanistan a year ago

72 hours from when I ordered AEI had my new spare bolt and carrier in my hands.

Since we know it's the trigger assy. hold the one coming to you as a spare and order up a Geissele SSA from Arms East. Absolutely fantastic and you'll wish you'd done it sooner (not cheap but oh so much better).

Ive been looking at the SSA-E for about $230 but i need a new bolt rifle before i can put any more $ into my AR. soon enough tho

Good choice....I have the SSA in mine and put the SSA-E in the wifes...the -E is nicer (IMHO).

Until you get an out of battery explosion from hammer follow.

The firing pin isn't long enough to protrude from the bolt face without the BC being in battery and the bolt 90% rotated. Unless there is another way it can fire OOB.
