2,500m Sniper rifle

When did a 16 5/8 inch 3 round group at 1.3 miles become a 2500 metre Sniper rifle. 1600 metes is essentially a mile. And we never did see the actual group nor the shooting.

A mile is 1,609 metres. The group is about 3/4 of a minute. With really consistent ammunition, you can do that with a stock 1910 Ross at normal ranges.

If they're going to call it a 2500-metre sniping rifle, let's see them make a one-round hit AT 2500 metres.

Up until then, it's speculation and hype....... just the same as the 'semiautomatic machinegun' scare and the 'cop-killer bullet' scare and all the rest of the media trash.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Following this principle, should not the proof of a sniping rifle be in the actual sniping?
