2 die sets---or 3?

I thought dies were a 2 piece deal----now a kit I was looking at is stating a 3 die set----whats the deal?--

Usually the 3 die sets are for straight walled cases such as pistol rounds. An expander die is necessary to flare the case so that it will accept a bullet without crushing the case.

As above, and also, some bottleneck die sets will have a neck-sizer, body (or full-length) die and seating die.

I like the Lee factory crimp die. It will really crimp hard without buckling the case.
