Hi all, new to the board. I've looked at several boards & manufacturers sites for load data. I have found some info of course but some of it is quite old. I'm looking for what is working for you today or what has worked for a while using these VLD's. I bookmarked the 7mm load data on the BOTW site but that was removed for liabiity concerns just before that whole scene changed anyway. Does anybody here happen to have the actual load data that the BOTW team uses? I have built thousands of rounds in the past and if anybody needs any 300 Win Mag data I'd be happy as hell to share with you.
Rifle 1 is an M77 Ruger in 7mm-08. Planning on using 140 VLD's and Nosler Brass
Rifle 2 is a Sendero in 7mm RM. Planning on using 168 VLD's and Nosler Brass
I have H-1000, IMR 4350 & IMR 4831 onhand but have seen very impressive data using RL22 & RL 25.

Neither rifle has had more than a factory test round thru it
Thanks tons for any/all input
Jim

Are you hunting with these rifles or are you shooting paper?
If you are hunting, the first thing you should do is ditch the VLDs
Eagleye.

Definately hunting. At this point, definately with these VLD's. I am new to the board so I'll see if I can figure out your response as I have high expectations from these rounds.
Thanks for your thoughts

Hi Eagleye,
Just curious as to why you think VLD's are no good. I know partitions, accubonds, and such are good but just from watching those VLD's perform on shows like long range pursuit they seem to work great. Can you explain to me what your opinion on these are?
Cheers
Geoff

Just be sure they are the hunting version of VLD's I believe that Berger makes two types. The target version would not be a good choice.

Im going to be using vld's this year as well. A good friend of mine used the target ones on a doe last year at around 400 yards with a 270wsm fell over right there.

I know a .284 180 grain Berger will punch through the front shoulder of a Med/Large Bull moose and wipe out the lungs... Moose was quartering towards me @ about 250 yards.
