A friend and I will be trying out turkey for the first time this year. We are both ethical down to earth guys just looking for a new experience. We are from Sudbury Ontario and are looking for a place to hunt down south. We do have some crown land picked out to go try our luck and will start scouting soon but I figured I would inquire if there was anyone who possibly owned land or knew someone who did and wouldn't mind a few hunters for a day or two. Any info is greatly appreciated.

You might have to go a bit south, I'm not sure how far north the turkeys are now.
Oh, I'm aware we're going to have to go south, which is half the battle. Sure I have a crown land map and an idea where we can go.. But If there is someone offering up some property to hunt on that there are turkeys then even better! 
Definitely go South of Highway 7. Further North you go, less Turkeys there are. It is just... there aren't enough to expect a successful hunt. Wasted two sessions up there to learn this lesson. As a rule of thumb (admittedly, my thumb!); it is either Grouse or Turkey. If you see one, you won't see the other one (at least in huntable quantities). Good luck.

Saw a group of turkeys just north of the Key river last year. Suprised the hell out of me.
