2 old Rem 870 wingmaster **UPDATE 15-01-2014**

My wood stock 870 should be on the way soon, really excited to see if it has "battle scars". Talked to the source last night and all is good ;)

Missed out didn't I :(? Was this another one of those security truck companies selling off their equipment type deals?

I must say I am curious as to the history of these 870s , without revealing your source of purchase ....could you provide some history as to where these 870s were being used at . They remind me of our 870s that we used in the CSC , but many police agencies also used 870s as cruiser guns including the RCMP.....they were often banged around alot , but seldom fired.......history please and thank you....

I'll see if I can dig a little deeper to find out the story of their origins.. Because all I know at the moment is its an ex-armoured truck/car shotgun that bounced around with bags of money haha.

Thanks , its always interesting to know the background of surplus firearms....these 870s seem to have a wide range in age and configuation , I wonder what the organization in question up graded to . When I first seen the post , I thought maybe they were coming from the Kingston Pen. now that it is closed , but I assume that the Federal Govt. destroys all their surplus firearms......

"...the other will be "tactical"..." No such thing, but an 18" pump gun is that already.
It's not "Tactical" until it's covered in rails and weighs an extra 10lbs :)

I'm still working on a light, laser, pump pistol grip and bayonet. Oh, and one of those nifty fold-in magnifiers for no real reason.

Sorry glock for hijacking the thread its gone off topic a bit. Have you already picked your parts up? Mesa sidesaddle? Are you going to extend the mag tube?? I contacted Remington today and got a nice email reply stating my wingmaster was manufactured in 1980. I've beeen cycling dummy rounds through it the past couple of days and its so smooth; once the action is broken in it should be like butter.

Here is the first one 1983, the action is very smooth, just like my 2012 wingmaster..... Not broken in lol. The finish is rough but nothing too bad

The other one is very rough on the outside, but the action is smooth as butter..... When I say rough, there is no pitting, just the original blue or almost 40% gone, nothing armacoat can't fix ;)

Picked up mine at the post office yesterday, looks a lot like GLOCK_PERFECTION's pictures. Has a chunk taken out of the forend, the stock has almost all the finish gone, the bluing is pretty decent, ran some Ballistol over it and the action is smooth as butter. Great buy! Very happy with it. Will post pics later.
