2 person tree stands

Who's got em? What make/model? Why do you like/dislike them? Where did you get them, and how much? Looking to expand my ladder stand supply and I prefer a double for all-day sits.
 
I've got one. Heavy & bulky if you want to move it. Roomier than a single, which I like, but the seat's still too narrow, and you don't really have room to stretch your legs out. I can't remember the make, but I got it at Tremblay's when they had them on sale. I think it was around $200, but it was a couple of years ago.

All in all I prefer to find a cozy spot on the ground where I can't fall too far when I fall asleep.
 
I like the double wide only for the ability to move and be comfortable, I don't take anyone else up with me but I like to be able to turn around to look over my shoulder with being cramped.
I also generally pack a thermos and some snacks and it gives me room to lay it all out.
 
I use the one sold at Bass Pro. It was on sale one time for $119.00 a couple years ago. It is bulky to transport and setup, its a two man job to get it in place. We only use it as a single person stand, as it gives you enough room to have your backback and gear with you. It would be a pretty snug fit with two hunters sitting in it.
 
You can pick up 2 man ladder stands at Walmart USA or Menards hardware for about $80 bucks USD even with exchange they are usually cheaper than anything in Canada. Hang ons were on sale at menards last fall for $26.99 USD

Might be worth the trip ??
 
Have only hunted out of a two man. Didn’t like it. Like mentioned the seas too narrow and can’t stretch at all. I’m a young guy but it kinked my back pretty good sitting at that angle. Also with two guys on it there wasn’t much room

I’d prefer a good size single.
 
I prefer to build my own, but I used to have a hang on stand, and I use a two man by Big Game tree stands when I want to establish where to put a more permanent stand.

Like others have said, the side by side gives more room, and it's easier to shoot behind you than with the tight (for my ass) single stands. Putting up a two man is much harder than a single, and the manual says get help. I do it myself, it can be done.
They do make noise when you clank up and down the ladder. I tape the ladder joints to minimize it.
Yes the seat is narrow, and stretching although sort of possible, is never really satisfactory if you're tall. also the back rail digs into my back. i usually sit sort of sideways to be half ass comfortable. (Half my ass is on the seat)
As to the hang on tree stand I used to have, I don't know how people hunt out of those things. The seat was smaller than my boot print. I never felt completely safe in it.

I use a Big Game Big Buddy tree stand and love it. Got it for 99 at cabelas boxing day online sale. Its big and heavy but if you dont plan on moving it all the time it is a great stand. Seats are comfy (only used myself so dont know with 2 people) and lots of room to stretch out (5'10 185lbs and wearing winter hunting gear). I also bought the blind that goes around it and you cant see the damn thing even when you know where to look. The shooting rail is great and comes with a padded camo cover for it. Well built and easy enough to install with 2 people even in tight spots. Very happy with it and decided to buy a single Big Game ladder stand to put in another spot. They are inexpensive and appear to be well made stands.

Edit to add: i think the height is 15 feet to the rail
 
I've got a big game big buddy as well and overall I like it. They are a little awkward to set up without 2 guys and like others have mentioned the seat is not the most comfortable. I double up the cushions that come with them which makes it ok.Lots of room for 1 person, and have taken the wife along a couple times bowhunting and not real cramped. I built a blind out of camo material that went around so you can get away with a bit of movement without getting busted. Cantgetright and I each bought 1 about 11or 12 years ago from Bass Pro for around $200 and have never moved them. Theres still deer shot out of both every year so never even thought of relocating them.

I dont know what the seats are like in the old big buddy but the one i have has a kind of mesh bench seat. No padding more like a tightly woven mesh so i find it actually quite comfy. Also nice when you get to the stand and it only has a tiny bit of moisture on it that is quickly wiped away.
 
I got a 2-man tree stand, don't know what brand. The landowner where I hunt told me it was mine after he found it and I was the only one with actual permission to hunt there.

I love my free tree stand, that being said, it's f@cking heavy so I rarely use it.
