Well, a very nice young Bull Moose had his luck run out this morning. I pulled the trigger at 7:40 am....about a 100 yard poke.
Using my latest acquisition, a #1B Ruger, rechambered from 30-06 to 308 Norma Magnum. I'm shooting the 210 LRAB at just
a bit over 2900, and when I ran one through his ribs, the exit was Looney sized, and there was lung tissue and pink, frothy blood
for 15 feet on the exit side. Needless to say, he did not go far.
He is fat and in great shape. The 4 quarters hanging at the butchers weighed 360 lb. Mucho good eating.
