First of all I think I posted my question about the Redfield Raider 550 Rangefinder in the wrong section..but does anyone have thoughts on it?

And after looking through some posts I did not find any on trail cameras although I have seen them before .....with regards to trail cameras can anyone tell me what the best bang for their buck would be .

Thanks

The redfield line of products is made by leupold... Thaey have a fantastic warranty and are well built...

As for trail cams it depends how much you want to spend...

I use the Leupold RX-2 rangefinder... it has performed very well... so if it is true that the Redfields are the same, then I can recommend one... but I do not know this to be true.

For trail cams I like the Bushnell trophy cams, super long battery life, great pictures, silent, and small. I had a trophy cam for 2 years now and only change the battery at the beginning of each season.

Depends on what you are wanting them for. Top photo is from a commercial cam. Bottom in from a homebuilt unit. If you want one of them PM me and I will put you in touch with a fellow who builds units like mine.

The new Redfield scopes are made in their factory in the U.S. I haven't seen/heard them make the same claim for their rangefinders.

Regardless of where they are made, Leupold stands behind them warranty wise... so that's a good thing.... and in comparison with other products in a similar price range I would be inclined to give the Redfield a shot.... JMOP

I have a leupold RX-750 range finder and all of the different settings/options made it rate very low for user satisfaction, and I agree with them now. The redfield rated very close to 100/100 for user satisfaction. If you just need a simple point and click, go with the redfield. FYI - my leupy 750 has trouble on large trees (trunk) past 400 yards. A buddy had a swarovski that worked like a dream, and eliminated the need for a bino. Gonna save up.....
