Im sitting in my office in the concrete jungle we call Toronto, and I cant help but have my mind somewhere else. Trying to have a conversation with people around me about why my eyes are to the skies is next to impossible. Getting honked at and having people flip me the middle finger while driving because I slow down to gaze at a passing flock of geese is becoming more tolerable....more tolerable for me at least. Justifying the daily trips to all the local sporting stores with a purchase of more shells to add to the already unbearable stock pile sitting at home just makes sense. Clearing out the freezer by binge eating on whats remaining of last seasons massacre is beginning to add a few inches to the waistline. And finally, losing sleep over when I can head out and put up the finishing touches to my blind to prepare it for opening day. It amazes me that work somehow still gets done!
Anyone else suffering from opening day fever? It cant come soon enough for me.
Until then...opening day flashbacks is what sooths the mind.
My home away from home...the good old blind!
