I'll destroy it quicker on my HW80K/.22 pellet rifle. I had a 4x Bushnell Banner made by B+L on a .338 win Mag for 25 years until it said uncle.
 
Those B&L Balvars are good old scopes. A more reasonable price would be $150 to $200 for that scope.

I'd expect you won't have any troubles and is a perfect match for that rifle.
 
The losses that an unreliable scope can cause are too big to laugh off. A lost game, wasted ammonium, being helpless in the middle of hunt, time to re-sight in, and so on
Variable power scopes of old and cheap and high recoil of 375 are bad combination, especially for a person who can afford a reliable scope
Life is too short to stick with low quality

Generally speaking, this is true. In particular, I hate wasting "ammonium" while hunting. :)

But the scope pictured here is not cheap garbage. The Balvars were B&L's best scopes, which is to say: very good. I still have several of these nice older scopes and they continue to serve well decades after manufacture. Optically, I would call them equal to or better than virtually any VX3 or cheaper Leupold made today. In terms of structural strength and reliability, they probably wouldn't be my first choice for a remote once-in-a-lifetime hunt, but I'd still pick one over almost any budget or mid-range scope made today.

OP, if you're worried that it won't last on your .375, just get yourself a Vortex. Then, when it breaks while on a hunt, they'll send you a new one as soon as you get home...and they'll keep on replacing it until you get a good one! :)

You're right, but that's not a low quality chinese Bushnell Banner scope. B&L Balvar was top of the line for Bushnell in the day. If the OP would like to dump it, I'd be glad to give him his $20 plus shipping for it.

I would give u $ 25 for it if u wanna get rid of it. Those scopes are good as I believe they are now called the bushnell 4200 series. I have one on a saki in 416 R.E.M. mag and no issues

20 is a crazy deal but I d use it on a 22lr to be safe. With 375hh ammo being not cheap I d throw a better scope.
