I don’t know about this particular B&L scope but a buddy of mine picked up a rifle that came with a very low profile but vintage B&L 3-9x. It had absolutely awesome clarity in the glass. Far superior to my Leupold VX-R. I could see holes on target through the scope at 100yds that I could not with my newer Leupold.
His was mounted on a 7mm Mag and then a .270. No issues at all.
