20 G Sabots: fast & flat = 140+ Trophy

A couple of years ago I made the shift from 12 to 20 Gauge slug gunning.

I was a huge fan of sabots and have a soft spot for Rem. Core Lokt's (started out with Win. Partition Golds but they caused too many clean pass thru's).

Had my doubts when I moved to 20 Gauge, but they shoot fast and flat and clearly get the work done. GOODBYE 12 Gauge slug gun.

3 shot group at 75 yrds, perfect conditions from bench, CL scope mt on fully rifled barrel.

This is my first 20 Gauge buck from two years ago.

im gonna be stuck with a 12ga slug gun this year. (wanted to hunt with my ML but its down) im not a big fan of 12ga slugs they kick to hard for my liking. il be trading it in likely as soon as the season is over for a savage 220 slug gun. (sad cuz i sold my last 220 before shooting it to buy a tavor lol)

i use Rem. Core Lokt's 3" and 2 3/4 with my 12ga tc endeavor and i love them. i dont find the gun kicks at all.

I just got an H&R 20g single shot slug gun at Epps. It was inexpensive but is supposed to be accurate. I am looking for < 2moa.

I hunt a shotgun only area and wanted accuracy to 150y, though average shot is under 50y. Going to the range this weekend with Hornady and Remington Accutips to gauge accuracy and get my range card. Plan is to zero at 100y.

Has anyone else had experience with the H&R in 20g? Or the Savage bolt action 20g?

i dont mind recoil, and can usually sit through 25 rounds of 3 inch mags before taking a break. but im also 240 pounds
