20 Ga Semi auto shotguns

Anyone running the SX3 or 4?

I use an SX3 20ga with rifled barrel for controlled hunt. Much milder than the 870 12ga I use to run and more accurate to. After my niece missed a couple of turkeys in the spring with her 20ga pump my brother said he wanted to find her something soft shooting in a 12ga because she didn't like shooting his mossberg. After she tried my 12ga semi she seemed ok with it as far as recoil just too long for her so I recommended the SX4 compact in 12ga so here's hoping she has more luck with it next year. Not sure but they might make a 20ga compact also depending on your wife's stature.

Recently bought a Benelli ultra light in 12 ga but they make in 20 ga as well. Very soft as is but put a limb saver on it and it will be a dream

I would say a model 1100 ultra reliable light weight gas operated low recoil I have one for trade in the exchange. I have an 1100 special field 1100 in 12 Guage and will never part with it.

I bought a 20g Browning Gold SL for my wife. Handles very nicely and the mechanism is very smooth. No issues using light target load at the range either.

I have the same gun.Use it for duck hunting early season has never let me down, loves Kent fasteel 2.0 with a patternmaster choke.

Beretta 391 urika2 youth would likely be ok for her

I have a 30” 391 Sporter. Neat gun, but snappy in the recoil department. I added a weighted mag cap and stuffed the stock with lead. It’s better and nicely balanced now, but not exactly light anymore.

I have the exact same gun and don't find the recoil objectionable compared to other 20 gauge semis I've fired particularly those with inertia or recoil actions.
