20 ga tube extention

Hello.

I am looking at a 20 ga for the wife and kids to try 3 gun, but most are a 4 or less tube.

I have tried looking for extentions but all i seem to find are +4 or longer. Which is longer than legal. Does anybody know of a canadian legal +1 (mabey +2). Or is it a case of just get a +4 and put in a pin to block it.

I did think mabey get a machine shop to mill one for me as well but i suspect that would be expensive.

If any body knows of or has experiance that would help.

As was presented to me in my nightmare of building a 20G tac platform, the question was why 20G. The argument against is;

- felt recoil between 12 & 20 is negligible
- selection of 20G ammo is much less, especially with 'tactical' in mind
- cost of 20G ammo is generally as high or higher than 12G
- 20G custom tac parts are a smaller market, so fewer build parts, and those that do are often in small quantity, often not available

Eventually I did build a decent 20G 870, with +2 extension, shell saddle, light mount, tac sling, etc, but it cost far more than a 12G would have, and took much longer. Admittedly I don't know the why or other specifics of your build, but IMO it's better to just go 12G and if necessary use lower recoil ammo, which is widely available in 12G.

To answer your original question, Messa Tactical and S&S Precision have made some 20G tac pieces, but I can't say for what brands outside Rem and Mossberg.
