20 gauge and trap

Not with a 20 but with my 28 and an IM choke. Works pretty well at 16 yards.
I wanted to try my 28 also ( got some of those long range wads from BPI) but have to get a set of chokes for the Brileys!

I was thinking about this after Oldbadger shot really well with his 28.
a 7/8oz is used often in lightweight 12 gauge, so why not a 20 or 28?:dancingbanana:

I just got a new Traditions Fausti 20 O/U from a member on the board and had it out for trap last night. I was using modified most of the time. I had a few misses due to unfamiliarity with a new gun, different method of barrel selection, fit etc . Also I tried a nephew's new Browning 20 ga upland for a five shots on my second round. I still managed 21 and 22 for two rounds with one string of 17 straight until a gimmme straight away brought me back to reality.
I have not shot much trap for the last half dozen years, perhaps a total of 10 rounds in all ,so I was very pleased.
