20 Gauge Skeet Gun for the Wife. Suggestions?

Next time you're in Cabela's, pick up a few boxes of the Challenger Extra Light shells. They're 7/8 oz of shot, shouldn't kick her too hard. Do you reload your ammo? If you do, she's going to like shooting 7/8 or 3/4 oz loads much more than 1 1/8 "standard" shells. They're great for skeet.
If she doesn't have a shooting vest, that's the next thing. The Browning ones have a pocket for a ridiculously expensive gel pad, I use a piece of neoprene wet suit in mine.
My 12 gauge O/U with recoil pad is fine, but my Browning Lightning 20 gauge (no recoil pad! ) bites after a while. The extra padding keeps my shoulder from getting sore.
The Stevens is pretty light. You can add weight to the stock bolt recess in the butt stock if necessary. It doesn't really affect the way the gun feels to swing because it's so far back. It does absorb recoil though.
Have fun!
