my dad has an 870 and i am looking into gettting one as well i am wondering if any one knows where i could find a 18-20 inch barrel with remchoke all the factorie ones are fixed

also does any one know how much it would cost to have a barrel threaded and choked ? and if it would be cheaper then pruchasing a new barrel
 
I think it is ~$125 to get a barrel threaded for choke tubes in southern Ontario, then count on $20 per tube to get the chokes.

Bass Pro Shops in Vaughan and Elwood Epps in Orillia both usually have a very good selection of 870 barrels. The 20" / rem-choke / rifle sight combo is kind of hit and miss to find though, and you may have to order it. If you are looking to get a simple bead instead of the rifle sights, I don't think that combination exists.
 
just bought the 20" smooth bore with rem choke , rifle sights at lebaron mississauga for $207. got lucky...had one in the back. came with rifled and imp cyc chokes. 12 ga #24549 870
 
i got estimate for 90 for a board member

dad has the combo with deer slayer and skeet barrel which is a nice set up we where thinking about picking a second up from bass pro but decided it wasn't worth the gas

any one know a dealer with the 870 epress 7 shot synthetic in stock

Wholesale sports sells a 24 in. rifled , rifle sighted barrel for the 870 it is made by Mossberg, they also sell a Mossberg made 18 in. smooth bore bead sight for the 870. They are about 1/2 the price of Remington made barrels. They seem to work okay I have 2 of the 18 in. barrels , they fit fine.
