Got a few questions I hope to get answered.
First off what would be the best platform to build a 20 tactical on (rem 700, savage, m77 etc...)
Should I get a 223 style and re barrel it? Or go with a .204 ruger and set the barrel back a few thou ?
I have read both methods will work, I'm looking for possibly some cost saving as this build is on a budget...
Any help or advise is greatly appreciated
 
One of your best option would be to get a Tikka T3 in .204 and have the barrel set back, then chambered for .20 Tactical. You'd probably end up with a tack driver. Upgrades, like a better stock could come later as you can afford it.
