Recently purchased some 20 gauge to .410 briley sidekicks. I’m planning on using them in my browning cxs 20/28 combo (obviously in the 20 gauge barrels). Anybody else try these things for skeet? What kind of results have you had? Probably will need the browning .410 springs right?

I have a set of 20,28, and 410 Sidekicks for the 12 gauge and love them!
I use them in my SxS guns moslty

I have a full set of long tubes for my browning 725 skeet.
From what I hear the sidekicks aren’t great for 12 to 410 patterns, it’s a little inconsistent. But I thought maybe one less step would be a little better. 12 to 28 in the sidekicks still patterns well.
The sidekicks are nice because the gun still feels the same, compared to a heavy full length set.

I bought a couple 12ga to 20ga adapters. And they are truely a POS!! They are too short and the fired hull stick's out the end about 3/16ths. to remove the 20ga hulls you have to either hammer them out and hope the crimped area go's thru or like I do, just cut the end off then hammer the remainder of the hulls out.

Were they Brileys? Mine have never jammed in any of the adapters.

I dont think its fair to paint all adaptors with the same brush. I've got pretty good experience with Briley. You may have tried an inferior product..
If the adapters were shorter than the fired hull than yes they were useless. Quality adapters stay in the gun and have theyre own extraction which works with the primary extraction or ejection of the firearm. Usually are fitted or have a series of O rings to keep them in place
