I finally managed to get my 20VT out to my friends camp and get it sorta sighted in at a much shorter distance that I would like to shoot at, but it gave me a good starting point to get things ready for a range trip.

I started with sighting in loads of H322 and 35g Berger FB varmint bullets. There are the bullets that I plan on using. I started out at 19 grains and loaded some at 19.5 and 20. I didn't bother to shoot the 20 as the 19.5 gr load made me pretty happy. I didn't bother taking my chrony with me so I have no idea velocity though.

Does anyone else load the 20VT for the 35 bergers?

I'll have to check my little book at home as I loaded some 35gr Bergers awhile ago. Mostly I shoot the 32gr vmax and have found that 18.2 gr of H4198 works very well in my Cooper........and surprisingly the 40 gr vmax shot alright as well (I didn't bring my chrono when I shot the 40's so I'm not sure what kind of velocity I was getting). It seems that the 20VT isn't to picky about ammo. Some of the guys on Saubier.com are having really good results with AA2200 in the VT - great accuracy and velocity. I started out using Remington 221 FB brass and sizing it down, but have recently made a bunch of 20vt brass from Lapua 222 and like it better - a little more work, but nothing too difficult.

I mostly shoot 32Vmax & 40 Berger in my 1:10 twist 20VT
I load with AR2207( =H4198)
32 Vmax loads had a sweet spot at 19.0gn ( 3650fps) & .25" @100M
hunting loads are 19.5 gn ( 3800fps)
for the 40Berger the loads have ranged from 17.8gn to 18.5gn
with 3350fps @ 17.8 to 3450@18.5

with the 1:10 I have been running some Hornady 45SP for a hunting load infront of 18.2gn @3400fps and .8" @ 200M ( pretty happy with that.)

Sorry, I don't have any loads for the 35 Bergers
