Economically there is a point where you might as well just buy factory ammo, and that is the point where primers should hit their maximum value due to supply and demand.
Consider 6.5mm 45gr loads...
155 rounds in 1lb of powder = $75
155 primers at $2000/1K = $310
155 projectiles = $80-130
155 cases = $0 or $150-300
Even on re-used cases your cost per reload will be $3-3.30.
If you're comparing to factory and fresh cases you will be up to $4-5.25 per reload.
I don't know about everyone else out there but if I'm going to be spending an hour driving to a range I won't want to go that far and NOT put at least a couple hundred rounds down the barrel but I won't go at all if it's $3-5 per pull.
Factory ammo is still around to $2-3 per round, so everything else the same that means primers can't really be worth more than $150 per 1000 except for the ultra precision shooters that want to refine everything exactly.
