2000 $ for 1000 primers ?

I have several bricks on hand and I need a new 1 ton diesel pick up, was going to for 3k per thousand but I don’t want to be seen as a gouged, so I will keep them.
 
Well, I have a Nigerian Prince for a cousin who could buy all he has, but we need to work out some small details first.
Why bother with these trolls and their inflated prices looking for a sucker?

Economically there is a point where you might as well just buy factory ammo, and that is the point where primers should hit their maximum value due to supply and demand.

Consider 6.5mm 45gr loads...
155 rounds in 1lb of powder = $75
155 primers at $2000/1K = $310
155 projectiles = $80-130
155 cases = $0 or $150-300

Even on re-used cases your cost per reload will be $3-3.30.
If you're comparing to factory and fresh cases you will be up to $4-5.25 per reload.

I don't know about everyone else out there but if I'm going to be spending an hour driving to a range I won't want to go that far and NOT put at least a couple hundred rounds down the barrel but I won't go at all if it's $3-5 per pull.

Factory ammo is still around to $2-3 per round, so everything else the same that means primers can't really be worth more than $150 per 1000 except for the ultra precision shooters that want to refine everything exactly.

I don't drive an hour to the range, at most half of that, and usually 10 minutes, but I never shoot 100 rounds of centerfire at one sitting, usually more like 50 rimfire and 20 centerfire. But I have still never paid more than $100/1000 for primers.

I figured he was looking for someone to make an offer like $500/k because of his sad story about his furnace. He also said he wasn’t selling any of his guns so I guess he really doesn’t need a furnace.
 
I just picked up a brick of Winchester large pistol magnum primers for $150 at the Capital Region gun show in Stony Plain. Not too bad. And he had 10k there.
 
Price seems reasonable...

Anyone else notice the lost soul trying to sell his 1000 primers for $2000 on EE? Poor guy needs a new $1800 furnace but there's not a chance he's gonna sell one of his guns or other components to pay for it. Instead he's hoping a good-hearted CGN'r will pay for his furnace, I guess.

There is a new start up manufacturer of ammo and PRIMERS in Texas. They are shipping ammo now. They are supposed to be shipping primers in the second quarter of 2023( Expansion Industries / Expansion Ammo ) .
